At the University of Mary Washington, I completed Adventures in Digital History for a Senior Seminar. The class taught me about the complexities of the field of digital history and gave me hands on experience working with a client to create a digital history project. My group and I created a website for the Fredericksburg National Cemetery, mapping the graves in the cemetery, digitizing the pages of the cemetery’s register, and creating the metadata to make the register searchable online. Over the course of this project, I familiarized myself with different aspects of archival work and website creation.
